Carnival is world most famous cruise line. I got 'fake' assignment to redesign Carnival brand. I first did analysis and research where I discovered that their logo doesn't communicate what they want. Moreover, more than 79% of people surveyed didn't know what Carnival represent by looking at their logo.
Carnival brand philosophy is based on being yourself and having fun on their ships. But, serif typeface and 'funnel' sign do not promote that message.
